About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Sydney - Singapore - Shanghai - Sydney

Does this work? i'll be flying on different airlines but the trip will be booked together. I'll also be in Shanghai only for 1 night for business meeting rather than a tourist, is that ok?
