About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Fly into Guangzhou with Hong Kong as destination.

Hi there,

I am travelling to Hong Kong but have just found a really good deal on a direct flight to Guangzhou. Can i land in Guangzhou and proceed to leave China (straight away) from the land border with HK?

If you would fly like HK-Guangzhou-HK, you cannot apply the free transit as it's not a transit.

This will only work without a visa if you fly from Guangzhou to Hong Kong. You can't take the train.
