bangkok-Guangzhou-macau 144 hours transit visa

Hi,
is it possible to get and use the 144 hours free transit, by
1. fly in to Guangzhou from Bangkok, and apply for the 144 hours free transit
2. stay in Guangzhou 3 days
3. leave Guangzhou with train to Macau

and if it works, how to inform about the train travel to Macau (do it have to be a confirmed ticket Guangzhou-Macau)?
