About:Shanghai 15-day Visa-free Policy for Cruise Tour Groups

We arrive in Shanghai from Hong Kong on the cruise.

Only do organised tours in the SH area then leave on the same cruise for Japan. I don’t think we need a Visa but wanted to double check! Thanks

That's fine for either the 15 day or the 144 hour transit. The 15 day is more meant for cruises that visit more than one port in China thus traveling between transit zones which is not allowed under the 144 transit.
