About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Los Angeles - Beijing (1.5 hour stop) - Bangkok

Hello, I´m flying with my wife from Los Angeles to Bangkok with a 1.5 hour stop in Beijing. (AirChina tickets)

A couple of questions just to be sure:

- We´re from Costa Rica. Are we eligible for the 24 hour transit permit without visa?
- This 24 hour transit permit needs paperwork or a stamp at the Beijing airport?
- From your experience, the 1.5 hour window in Beijing will be enough to get down from the plane, go through migration, customs, paperwork and catch the next flight?

You don't need to do anything other than clearing transit security. Airport immigration no longer inspects persons in transit who do not leave the sterile transit area. Depending on the line 1.5 hours can be more than enough.
