About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

2 stopovers

Hello,

I am planning on flying into DPS (Indonesia) from US (SFO) and back a week later, with US nationality and passport. Both the departure and arrival flight into DPS has 2 stopovers in China (WUH and CAN), all stopovers total less than 12 hours and we do not intend on leaving the airport. Even though there are 2 stopovers in China, do we qualify for the 72 hour visa free transit?

Thanks!

Two stops means you cannot get the 72 hour. There is a 24 hour transit which works as long as scheduled departure from CAN is less than 24 hours from scheduled arrival in WUH. 24 hours includes total scheduled time in China including time flying between WUH and CAN
