About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Flight from Paris to Sanghai and Sanghai to Bangkok

Hi I am a german passport holder, i am flying to Bangkok from Paris. I have 17 hours of transit time in Sanghai. Do I still need visa to see sanghai for 17 hours ?
