About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

LAX to PVG to TPE to LAX

Will the 144 hours twov apply for the route above? I would think so, but need to make sure before the wife kills me. Thank you.

Yes if those are the only landings. If LAX - PVG requires you to travel through Taiwan airport then it would not qualify
