About:240-hour Visa-free Transit in Beijing, Tianjin & Hebei

We plan to fly Sydney - Beijing - Seoul. We plan to stay for 4 days in BJ.

Our plane has a layover at Guangzhou for 1.5 hours to connect us to BJ. Do we need to apply for a visa so we can stay for 4 days in BJ?

The stop in GZ means that you need a visa if you are staying longer than 24 hours in China.

You need to apply for a visa before you leave Australia. The 1.5 hour connect in Guangzhou makes this multiple stops thus limited to 24 hours total in mainland China.
