About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

144 hour transit visa: Hong Kong - Beijing - London

Hi! in June of this year I will be travelling from Hong Kong into Beijing for 3 days, with my return flight booked to London with a 2 connection (not leaving airport) in Hong Kong. Can I do this trip on the 144 hour transit visa as my third country is a different country to my first.

Many thanks in advance!

You clearly need a visa. You are flying Hong Kong-Beijing-Hong Kong, which is a trip to China and not a transit. It's irrelevant whether you leave the airport in Hong Kong or not.

Clear it is not, as my flight is only a connection I thought I would ask the question. Thanks for your response.

China is not based of origin and destination. Its based on country of airport immediately before and immediately after the one Chinese city. Wheels touching the ground counts as a stop.
