About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

US citizen traveling from Japan to Beijing

Im a US citizen and studying abroad in Japan. Will I qualify for 144 hours visa free transit in Beijing if my itinerary is from Japan-Beijing-Hong Kong- Japan ? Thanks

Yes you will Hong Kong will count as a third country I did that last year

Thank you. I just want to make sure to avoid denied entry. Tokyo-Beijing-Hongkong(stop-over)-Tokyo. I’m not staying in Hong Kong-only stop-over on my way back to Tokyo. I still qualify for the 144 hours visa free transit? Thanks
