About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Does a transit land counts as a destination C

Thank you for a really detailed guide. However, I am from Denmark and have booked return tickets from Denmark to Shanghai which included a stop in Helsinki on the way home for a couple of hours. Would Shanghai then count as transit - I'll be in there for 5 days - or would Denmark be the only sufficient end destination?

Thanks in advance!

Denmark-Shanghai-Finland is fine for transit without visa. Only the stops immediately before and immediately after Shanghai are of interest. Of course, your Denmark to Shanghai flight must not stop in Finland or mainland China.

Ah okay. Then I guess it won't count as a transit stop, cause I do have a stop in Finland on the way to Shanghai. I just hoped it was only of importance on my way home.

Correct. That's seen as Finland-Shanghai-Finland and requires a visa because it's not a transit of China.
