Shanghai to Japan then back to Shanghai

We stay for 2 nights in Shanghai then board a cruise ship to Japan for 7 nights, return to Shanghai Pu Dong airport to travel back to UK. Can we get a 72 hour free transit?

Yes as long as Shanghai is the only China landing to and only China landing from Shanghai

Hi Paul, thank you for your answer. On the way back we do not have a direct flight from Shanghai, we have a stopover of five hours in Hong Kong, then on to Heathrow. Is that still ok?

If it's Hong Kong, Shanghai then on to Heathrow, you can get the free transit.
