About:240-hour Visa-free Transit in Shanghai, Zhejiang, and Jiangsu

I'm flying from Sydney Australia to Shanghai

Staying in 3 nights and departing on a cruise to Hong Kong. Will then be flying back from Hong Kong to Sydney. Want to confirm I'm eligible for 144-hour visa-free transit. Thanks!

The info comes from TIMATIC database. The answer will depend on your exact routing and ports of call. If your flight Sydney to SH makes a landing in Hong Kong this would not be eligible for the transit. Also if there are any other Chinese ports on the cruise to Hong Kong it will not be eligible.

If you enter China via Hong Kong and the cruise visits Japan before going to Hong Kong they could make it eligible as well
