About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Visa required for third country??

Hi there!
I am flying:
NY to Bali with a 10 hr layover in shanghai
Bali to India with a 13 hr layover in shanghai
india to NY with a 13 hr layover in shanghai

I was going to explore Shanghai during my layovers. I was also going to do voa for Bali and India. However, to get the shanghai 24hr TWOV it says above that i need the Visa for a third country or region (if needed). Is this required? My trip leaves on February 13th, so if i need to get the entry permit for Bali and India in advance, or get entry permit for China, i don't have much time.

Any help would be appreciated!!

Immigration no longer checks visa and that's just a reminder so you won't have problems entering the next country. Also you don't need a visa for Indonesia anyway. Also FYI Shanghai is now aggressively refusing entry to those without hotel reservations so don't be surprised if they won't let you into the country.
