About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Beijing and then shanghai stopover

Me and my kids are travelling from London to HK via Beijing (just unde e3 days) and via shanghai (2 days ) on the way back.

I am working on the assumption the 24 hour twov will apply in both cities and no issues visiting 2 cities with the 72 hour twov during April.

Let me know if any issues you might foresee ...

Also wondering how long these take at the airport

Thank you in advance

UK-Beijing-Hong Kong-Shanghai-UK doesn't require a visa for 144 hours in each of Beijing and Shanghai, assuming your passport is from one of the 53 listed countries. If you have any other stops or if that isn't your route (it's not entirely clear) then the answer might be different. How long it takes at the airport varies; it could be minutes, it could be much longer.
