About:Chinese Clay Figurine Museum

Do we need a visa with 8 hour in Shanghai? Not leaving airport

Traveling from US to Hanoi, Thailand. Leaving Chiang Mia, 8 hr layover in Shanghai, not leaving airport, then back to US. Do we need entry permit?
