About:Beijing Travel

Hi, I would like to use the 72 hour allowance for staying in Beijing.

I arrive from the UK and I plan to fly to Malaysia leaving Beijing within the 72 hours but via Hong Kong - with a 2-3 hour stopover only in HK.

Do I have to leave Hong Kong within the 72 hours.

Your travel route is UK - BJ - Hong Kong - Malaysia, right?
If yes, you can qualify for the visa free policy. Nowadays, China's 144-hour visa-free transit policy is carried out in BJ.
