I want to send a laptop computer from the US to China, are there additional costs beyond mailing?

Hi there. I am trying to mail a laptop computer (valued at about 10,000 rmb) to the USA. I am aware of the shipping fees but I am wondering if there are any extra taxes or fees because the item is high value. It is a like-new computer that is not in the box. It is a gift for a friend. Thank you.
