About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Hong Kong - cruise - Shanghai

I am flying in Hong Kong to take a cruise to Beijing China. Do I need a visa during my cruise in Beijing ?

I will arrive to Shanghai after the cruise. Do I need entry permit to get to the Shanghai airport to fly back to Hong Kong?

If it is a closed-loop cruise without any other stops outside China then you need a visa. If you have at least one non-Chinese port of call between Beijing and Shanghai you may or may not need a visa depending on the country of the port(s) of call.
