ferry from shekou to macau, borders controlinland transportation

Question

Hello,I would like to do a day trip with a friend from Shenzhen Shekou to Macao this Saturday.I acknowledged the best option would be to take the earliest ferry from Shekou (Turbo-Jet): 8:15, 8:45, or 9:30 and to come back at 20:00, 20:45.How long before do we have to be at the ferry terminals ?I believe we have to go through the customs both in China and Macao. How long should I plan for this ?Also how far in time from the peninsula where the old Portuguese borough are the Macao Ferry Terminal and the Taipa Temporary Ferry Terminal  ?Thanks for your advice.

1. You are advised to arrive at the ferry terminal 45mins. in advance before the departure.2. You need to prepare 2-3 hours.3. The distance is not far. It takes around 20-30 mins on the way.
