About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Have an Australian passport cruising from Hong Kong to Tokyo.

Along the way will stop at Shanghai (overnight), Qingdao and Beijing/Tianjin (overnight), do I need a China visa or does the 144 hour free transit apply? Tks.

You need a visa for China. 144 hours does not apply for those multiple stops.
