About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Japan - China- Canada

Hi, I have a Canadian passport and 30-days (one entrance) visa to China. I would like to go to Japan after that. Can I use 144 hour-visa-free to go back to Xian airport and take the flight to Canada (Japan - China - Canada)? Thank you.

There is only 72h twov in Xi'an. So if you travel like Japan - Xi'an (72 hours) - Canada, you can use it then.
