About:How to Travel to China without a Visa

visa for 24h or less

I and my wife are German residents, I'm German and she has an Indonesian passport. On our flight to Indonesia we will stopover in Beijing for about 17 hours, can we apply for the 24h voa and leave the airport to visit the city? Or do we need any other preparation?

There is no visa on arrival at Beijing. You will qualify for transit without visa, but whether you can leave the airport is at the discretion of the immigration officer.
