About:Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport

I have flights from Kuala Lumpur - Kunming - Zhengzhou - Vancouver.

I am a citizen of Estonia and I know i can get the 72 hour visa free transit in Kunming. Is there a special visa i need for CGO, cause I haven't find anything online. I have a 3.5h layover over there. Thank you

No, according to your travel route, you cannot enjoy the 72 hours visa free policy because you can only have one stop in China. Thus you need to apply for the China visa in your country in advance.

Yes, the layover in KM and Zhengzhou should be less than 24 hours in total.

Hello, I am going on a similar flight next week: Bangkok -> Kunming -> Zhengzhou -> YVR. What did they say in Kuala Lampur? Based on everything I've read you should have been eligible for the 24 hour visa free transit. Did they just not want to risk it?

You need a visa for that. Domestic transfer is not possible with visa free entry, which means you can only have one stop on china without a visa.
