Do we qualify for the 144 Hour Visa Exemption for China

We are flying from Vancouver,Canada via SAN Francisco USA To Shanghai at the end of January , spending3 nights in Shanghai before boarding a Celebrity cruise ship in Shanghai which will bring us to Hong Kong (1st stop of our cruise)
During our stay in Shanghai we are planning a tour excursion to Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province.
We have our passports, hotel booking confirmation for Shanghai and for the cruise, booking confirmation and XPress pass.
Flying back to Vancouver from Singapore.
