About:China Train Ticket Booking FAQ

Hi, I'd like to travel from Zhangjiajie to Shenzhen by rail.

I checked the schedule and booked a ticket from Zhangjiajie to Changsha and from Changsha to Shenzhen. How much time do I have to plan for my stop in Changsha at least? Train arrives in Changsha and leaves in Changsha South. Is it possible to collect all my paper tickets (booked e-tickets) together in China or do I have to collect the tickets step-by-step? I already booked 5 tickets (HK - Guilin, Guilin - Changsha, Changsha - Zhangjiajie, Zhangjiajie - Changsha, Changsha - Shenzhen). Is it recommended to book a ticket for Shenzhen to HK Airport in advance or is it easy to travel?

You need no less than 1 hour for transfer in Vhangsha. From Changsha Station to Changsha South, it take around 30min by metro, you also need to be at the station at least 30 to 40min in advance for the next trip. So you need no less than 1 hour. You can also collect the tickets together instead of one step by step. However, it would be better to collect the HK-Guilin in HK separately, as there will be extra fee charged in HK for other domestic routes. Shenzhen-HK is a short route thus usually it is fine. However, if you are tight in time to catch a flight, it is still better to book a seat in advance.
