About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Flying into Shanghai but departing to Thailand from beijing

Do I qualify for the 144-hour twov if we FLY INTO Shanghai from the US, spend 3 days in Shanghai and Beijing, then FLY OUT of Beijing to Thailand.

Sorry. Shanghai visa free transit does not allow you to leave the Shanghai, Jiangsu, and Zhejiang provinces. You cannot cross into other TWOV zones. So visa is needed to travel between Shanghai and Beijing or your full time in china is limited to 24 hour
