About:Hong Kong International Airport

I am arriving in Hong Kong from nagoya japan thru cathay pacific

but my destination is manila thru the same airline.how long will it take me to transfers? i have 3 hrs allotted. is it enough time to look for my next gate to board?

Generally speaking, 1.5 hours are enough for you catch the next flight. Thus your time is enough. Don't worry.
