About:Chinese Consulate in New York

My daugter born in China needs to have her Chinese birth certificate

needs to have the certificate modified to be able to submit her citizenship paperwork. She was born in
1999 and we have been told she is automatically a citizen because my husband and I are US citizens.
How do I go about this process? Do I need an appointment at the Consulate?
Thank you very much.

As I know, you need to go back to the hospital where your daughter born in China to apply for her Chinese birth certificate.
