About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

144 Hour Visa Free Transit...

So Hong Kong - Shanghai - Hong Kong is not permitted, but Hong Kong - Shanghai - Sydney is permitted?
I should be more clear, what I meant is:

I will be flying from Korea, Seoul - Hong Kong (switching flights) - Shanghai (Staying for 6 days) - Hong Kong (switching flights) - Australia, Sydney.

Both stops at Hong Kong is a stopover to switch flights since my air line does not have a direct flight to Shanghai, does this mean that my flight does not allow the 144 hr free transit?

Your trip Korea, Seoul - Hong Kong (switching flights) - Shanghai (Staying for 6 days) - Hong Kong (switching flights) - Australia, Sydney won't qualify for free transit policy in Shanghai.
