Hello I'm leaving Newark, NJ to Beijing Capital Airport with a 1 hr 20 min layover

Then taking a flight to HKG. I am flying exclusively with Air China and see that they're labeled as a domestic airline. in T-3 & T-D (?). Will I be leaving the terminal to get to my flight for HKG? Im an American citizen with a USA passport and no China visa.
