About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

We have two stops in China and our final destination is Auckland. Do we still qualify?

We have two stops in China. We would like to leave the airport in Bejing. In Guangzhou we will stay at the airport. Do we qualify for the 72-Hour Free Transit in Bejing? Thanks in advance!

When you wanna use the 72h twov, just 1 stop within China is allowed. So you won't qualify for the free transit. You need to apply for a visa beforehand.

Thanks for your reply. Can we apply for the 24h free transit? And how do we do that?

If your total layover time in China is within 24 hours, you can apply for the 24h free transit. Procedure: Inform the airlines when boarding – Fill an Arrival/Departure Card on the flight - Apply the 24-hour permit – Claim the luggage – Go through the custom - Leave airport
