Q1 visa requirements

Please I want to know if the invitation letter for family visit must go through government agencies in China before it could be valid for application of q1 in Nigeria. If yes, which agency of government in China must it go for signing and authentication?

Yes my wife has provided the letter and my mum has gone to Chinese embassy in Nigeria to apply for visa with all other necessary documents but they refused the invitation letter. They said the reason is because it has to be signed or endorsed by Chinese government! But your website never said something like that about q1 visa for family visit. So am confused,what can I do? I don’t know which government departments that is supposed to sign the letter

If you mean the duly authorized invitation letter, it can be applied from any of these Chinese units: Municipal Foreign Affair Office, Municipal Bureau of Commerce, Foreign Economic Relations & Trade Commission, International Trade Promotion Commission or Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation Bureau.
