About:China Visa on Arrival

my friends got 30 days M and stay in Shenzhen now ,but 30 days is not enough

he need 5 more days,so after 30 days ,can he go to get 5 days VOA from Shenzhen ,or need go to hk then come back from port to get 5 days VOA? can he get 5 days VOA ?

Your friend can go to the exit and entry administration of the local PSB to apply for the extension of the visa. If it can succeed, there is no need to leave China for that.
