About:Transfer in T3 of Beijing Capital Airport

I will travel from Toronto to Beijing with Air Canada and on a separate ticket

I will travel from PEK to Bangkok on Air China. I have a 3 hour layover, which isn't the problem, I have just been informed by Air China that my boarding pass will not be issued by Air Canada, so I have to obtain my boarding pass past immigration in PEK. I will only have the ticket with Air China for my onward bound flight from PEK to Bangkok. Please say this is all that I require to show the Chinese customs officer before finding the transit area to pick up my boarding pass with Air China ticket counter?
