About:China Visa Application Procedure and Fee

transiting china

i fly to shanghai 22Feb"19 a day early due to flight arrival times and embark cruise 23rdFeb. the ship then sails to Tianjin driving 26th Feb for an overnight stay then on to Hong Kong where I disembark. The cruise line says I need entry permit. What kind do I need.

You can apply for a tourist L type or transit G type for that trip.
