About:Hong Kong Visa Application

I’m travelling from Hong Kong to Shenzhen for 2 days .

Should I apply for entry permit from Australia where I’m travelling from? At the Chinese Consulate before I travel .
Is the form the same & cost if I were staying longer ? Many thanks Vivienne
