If I am flying in and cruising out, can I have a 72 hour visa free transit?

I will be flying to Shanghai to join a cruise ship that will spend two nights there before cruising to Japan, Taiwan and the Philippines ending in Hong Kong. As I will fly in and cruise out can I have a 72 hour free transit?
