About:China Visa Renewal and Extension

Chinese Work Visa change or extension

I am finishing my work in China and My Z, work permit and resident permit will be cancelled by my company in February, However my kids are in enrolled in school and in the middle of the school year. I would like to reside in China until Mid-June when the School lets out. Am I able to extend my resident permit and change or extend my visa to another type to allow my family to stay for another 5 months. If so what are the procedures and which dept. do I see to visit?

If your kids has student X type and Chinese residence permit, you can try to change your current visa into S type at the exit and entry administration of the local PSB within China. If it can be done, you can stay in mainland China longer.
