Can I change my husband and daughter's S2 to a Q1 in China (family, dependant visa)

Hey.
My husband and daughter will be visiting me soon. They will have a S2. I recently found out that I can apply for my Z but will have to go back to my country to make it. Will it be possible to change my husband and daughter's visa to a Q1 (family/dependant Q) in China? I obviously want to try and save money and hopefully they won't have to go back to our country to change their visa too. Do you have any info on this?

Hi, if you don't have Chinese passport or Chinese permanent residence permit, your husband and daughter cannot get the family Q type.

Hey

Thank you so much for your response. I will be changing my visa to a Z and then once I'm back I will then have to get the resedence permit. Can they change their visas in China? Or do they have to go back to our country to change their visa?

Try to do the change at the exit and entry administration of the local PSB within China. If it can be done, there is no need to go back.
