Arrive at Shanghai AirPort and leave China the next day from Shanghai Cruiseport. Free visa?

Booked a cruise from Shanghai to Singapore. To avoid the risk of missing the ship, in case of a delayed flight from Amsterdam to Shanghai, we booked a hotel for 1 night in Shanghai. Our flight is scheduled to arrive in the morning and the cruise ship will depart the next day in the afternoon. Are we eligible for a free transit, and can that be organized at arrival at the AirPort?
