About:Chinese Embassies and Consulates

I am a Supernumerary, holding a valid Indian Passport with a B1/B2 US visa.

Do I need to apply for a China tourist L in order to board the ship. I do not have a seamen’s book. So do I need to apply for a visa. Please advice
