About:144-hour Visa-free Transit in Beijing, Tianjin & Hebei

SF-Beijing-Hong kong-Beijing ( 4 hr layover)-SF

I fly from SF to PEK and I will be staying for 3 days then I will be flying to Hong Kong. My return flight, 7 days after initially arriving in China, from HK to SF has a layover in PEK for 4 hours. I obviously don't plan on leaving the airport during my layover. Will my layover cause issues when applying for a 144-hour visa?
