About:144-hour Visa-free Transit in Shanghai, Zhejiang, and Jiangsu

I need to stay in Shanghai to catch a cruise ship.

I will be coming in a day or two early and was wondering if I should stay in the center of town in SH. How far away would be the port where the cruise ships dock? What streets are the center of town if that is what you recommend. Many thanks.

You may take the cruise ship at Wusongkou International Cruise Terminal which is about 24 kilometers from the city center. You can live in the hotels at East Nanjing Road, near the People's Square and the Bund.

Thank you for the information. I have further questions as follows:
1) How far is the airport to the Bund area and what can I expect to pay for a cab?
2) You said Bund area to Cruise Terminal is 24 kilometers (15 miles). What can I expect to pay for a cab?
3) Can you recommend any 3 to 4 star hotels that employ English speaking people to help obtain a cab?
4) Are certain cab companies better and more reliable than others? I heard some cab drivers in China can be dishonest and take people for a ride (as the term is used). Many thanks for any information you can provide.

1.It is about 44 kilometers from the airport to the Bund and you may pay about CNY160 – 180 for the cab.
2.You may pay about CNY80 – 90.
3.You don’t need to book one cab in advance and you can just take one easily as you set out.
4.Don’t worry and just take the normal taxi of Shanghai and get the invoice.
