About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Do i get 72 or 144 hours visa ??

Hi, i am Australian passport holder . flying from Sydney to Tokyo i like to visit Beijing for three days my flight is

sydney-Changsha (5 hours layover)-Beijing and after three days Beijing-Vladivostok (5.5 hours layover) -Tokyo.
please could you let me know do i need to apply pre visa or i am eligible for 72 or 144 free entry. really confuse .

Because of the landing in Changsha you are limited to the 24 hours direct transit. You will need to find different flights where there is only one landing in China on the way to Tokyo. The only option I know of on Sydney to Beijing is Cathay Pacific because it lands in Hong Kong or Air China because it has no stops on the way from SYD-PEK. Hainan airlines is not an option without a visa.
