About:Chinese Embassy in Bahamas

Greetings. I would like a spousal visa for China.

My husband receives a year by year work permit from his institution in China. I am a Bahamian citizen however my husband is American and has never lived in The Bahamas nor am I a resident of the USA. The visa center said that I must apply for a spousal visa in The Bahamas.
Is this so? What documents do I need? How long does it take? Thank you.

Usually, one is advised to apply from the China embassy in his/her home country. You may need to provide passport and the copy, passport-style photo, a completed application form, an invitation letter from your husband and copy of his passport and Chinese residence permit, as well as your marriage certificate and other requirements. Processing time is around four working days if you have all the right documents.
