About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Can you fly into Shanghai and travel onwards by cruise ship to Hong Kong

Condition No 4 for application specifies that" Passengers are required to leave from the same airport that they arrive except in Shanghai....where they can enter or leave from any port in Shanghai" Elsewhere in the guidance the 144 hour free transit policy seems to be limited only to tourists flying in and out of China

“Shanghai: All air, sea and railway ports, including Pudong Airport, Hongqiao Airport, Shanghai Port International Cruise Terminal, Wusong Passenger Transport Center and all railway stations.” This is an excerpt from the 144-hour transit page.
