Guangzhou - Hong Kong 72h visa

Hello,
Thank you for useful information but can't find answer to this particular point.
I land in Guangzhou Airport and want to go to Hong Kong by train after 2 nights. Can I apply to 72h twov exemption?
Thank you

You need a Chinese visa in advance for that. You would have to fly from Guangzhou to Hong Kong to qualify for 72h visa-free transit.
