144 hour transit: LHR to PEK to HKG and return

Hello,

My husband and I are wondering if we can take advantage of the 144 Free Transit.

We fly LHR to PEK on the 26th December, arriving on the 27th December
After staying for 4 days, we leave PEK and travel to HKG, where we stay until the 4th January.
Our return flight home, on the 4th, is HKG to PEK, a 3 hour layover and then a flight to LHR.

My reading of the guidance is that we can take advantage of the 144hour free transit. Am I correct?
